Doc appointment

Went to see my doc today, who by the way is just marvelous, I'm very comfortable with him.
I told him people are telling me that I'm very big for 5 months and that I seriously look 7 months or more. So he said he would check the size of the baby and check the fluid to make sure everything is normal.

So he did his usual through ultra sound, measuring the babies head etc, listening to the heart beat, showed me the babies' manhood to once again prove it's a boy, checked the femur size, looked at the organs, and everything seems to be fine and right on schedule.

Now the only surprise I got is when he weighed me, I had gained 4 kg in 1 and a half months. I was shocked! I asked him about this, saying I should go on a diet, he said that wasn't necessary at all, and that I should just cut ice-cream, pies and soda pops out of my diet, yeah, like I eat any of that stuff.
Anyhow, I guess thats where all the weight has gone, as I don't notice myself getting much fatter in other places so much, so perhaps its all in the stomach, at least that's what i prefer to think. My tummy does seem to have doubled in size in the last while. I'm grasping for encouragement. ha. I'm at the weight I was when I was nine months pregnant with Gavin (72 kg, yikes)... Lord help me not to be 80 kg with this one.

Well like everyone tells me "at least you have a healthy baby".

Dear Amanda, don't worry even if you get to 80kgs, you'll loose it all afterwards. When I was PG with Jennifer, I was underweight the whole time. The baby was small, about 2-3 weeks behind schedule and they didn't know whether it was because I wasn't gaining much weight, or there was something wrong with the baby. The doctor kept telling me to eat more. She told me "Do you know how rarely I get to say that to a pregnant woman? I usually have to put them on diets!" In the end Jennifer was born exactly the same weight as my other kids, and now is the fattest of them all. You have nothing to worry about. Praying for you!
